7 Great Resources To Learn About Neuroplasticity Of The Brain

Updated: Nov 15, 2021

While doing research for my book YOUR SUCCESS BEGINS TODAY, I wanted to know what makes a difference between success and failure. I new that it had to do a lot with our thinking and beliefs and then actions. Few years before that I was introduced to Dr. Caroline Leaf and neuroplasticity through a course offered by my church called ‘Who Switched off my Brain”. I learned about neurons and neural pathways and how those pathways look like when we think good and empowering thoughts and when we think toxic thoughts.

So, when I begun writing the book, I knew that I needed to dedicate a whole chapter to cultivating a growth mindset. Young or old we have the opportunity to change our mind and create physical changes in our brain through neuroplasticity. This field of science is fairly new. What we have learned, the discoveries that came to light, the research being done has opened up a new world to us all. A new world of endless opportunities and possibilities.

Through the research I was introduced to Dr. Joe Dispenza, a chiropractor who healed his spine after a car accident. Dr. Lara Boyd taught me that every time you learn something new, you change your brain, which was totally the opposite to what I have learned in my first year psychology class at university. Dr. Carol Dwecks research into mindset, definitely change mine when it comes to success and failure. Dr. Daniel Amen studied the brain through scanning over 80 thousand brains and stated that if your brain works right, you work right, and when your brain is troubled you are much more likely to have trouble in your life.

After my book was finished I continued to do research and learn as I find the topic of the brain and it's ability to change fascinating one day I came upon an interview Joe Rogan did with Dr. Andrew Huberman a neuroscientist who freely shares his knowledge with the world through his own podcast. Just recently I came upon the work of Dr. Lisa Mosconi as I wanted to understand the brain in menopause. Yes, I said that word. Menopause. Menopause. Menopause is not talked about in our society but affects every woman to some degree and can be very traumatic for a woman experiencing it and troubling to people around her.

I want to introduce you to this world of endless opportunities and possibilities through these 7 amazing and brilliant human beings who have dedicated their lives in pursuit of this science of the plasticity of the brain.
